Sea Transportation (Shipping/Freight) 

1. Bill of Lading (B/L) – A crucial document issued by a carrier to acknowledge receipt of cargo and terms of shipment. 

2. Packing List – Details of the cargo, including weight, dimensions, and packaging. 

3. Commercial Invoice – Provided by the seller; includes details of the goods and transaction. 

4. Certificate of Origin – Certifies the country in which the goods were manufactured. 

5. Import/Export Licenses – Government-issued licenses permitting the shipment of goods across borders. 

6. Marine Insurance Certificate – Provides insurance coverage for goods in transit by sea.

7. Dock/Warehouse Receipt – Confirms receipt of goods at a warehouse or dock before shipment. 

8. Customs Declaration – Form submitted to customs authorities with details about the cargo. 

 

Airport Transportation (Air Freight)  

1. Air Waybill (AWB) – The air transport equivalent of a bill of lading. 

2. Packing List – Similar to sea freight; includes weight, dimensions, and packaging details. 

3. Commercial Invoice – For customs and financial processing. 

4. Certificate of Origin – To meet customs or trade agreement requirements. 

5. Import/Export Licenses – If required by either country. 

6. Insurance Certificate – Covers air freight cargo. 

7. Shipper’s Letter of Instruction (SLI) – Given by the exporter to the freight forwarder with shipment instructions. 

8. Security Declaration – Confirms the cargo has been screened or is known to be secure.
